Secret #1- Take control of your life and your weight: Do not allow anyone else to have control over what you eat or do in life this is deadly. You need to have a plan, one that you can stick with and one that you come up with yourself. You also must realize that eating is a survival skill that can easily become a way for us to cope with problems in life. Life can be hard. It is easy to eat your way through it.
Secret #2- Accept your body: Focus on what your body enables you to do, and not on what your body looks like. Stop comparing yourself with what others believe to be the perfect body. You must realize that your body shape is determined mostly through heredity. We closely resemble our mothers and fathers whether we like it or not, even if you lose the weight.
Secret #3- Make food enjoyable: Stop thinking of food as an moral issue. Good foods are the ones that you think that you should be eating like the fruits, and veggies, beans etc. The bad foods are the ones that taste good and are loaded with fats like cakes, donuts, cookies, chips, etc. Now substituting the good for the bad sounds like a really good way to go about it, but you could be setting yourself up for failure. A better way to go about it is to allow yourself to eat some of the bad foods on occasion. By doing this you reduce your cravings for it.
Secret #4- Increase your metabolism: metabolism is the amount of energy your body burns to maintain itself. The speed at which your body burns calories is called your metabolic rate.
